After trolling the usual jewellery stores looking at engagement rings, we came away liking some but found nothing we truly loved. Thinking we needed to look at having something made, I jumped online and found Greg at GMQ. Impressed by his site, we bounced a few emails and an appointment was arranged. 

 

We were able to explain what we liked and disliked about what we had seen and together with Greg, came up with a design to suit us and our budget perfectly. 

 

Very happy with the whole experience, Greg was attentive to our needs, his workmanship is outstanding (just check out his portfolio) and we even saved a few dollars.

On top of that, we came away with a unique engagement ring that we had a hand in creating, which makes it very special to us.

Looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend left me feeling confused, lots of conflicting options were put in front of me and I couldn't help feeling I was being led rather than informed.

A friend suggested Greg at GMQ and I'm glad she did. Totally professional, yet relaxed service. 

 

I was given a selection of stones to choose from while Greg explained the differences in a way I understood and he recommended a classic, yet contemporary design since it was a surprise proposal.  One of my big fears while previously looking was that my girlfriend wouldn't like my choice, so such a design was a good suggestion. 

 

Glad I went the handmade route, the quality is definitely noticeable and i didn't feel like I was being pushed. My now fiancé loves the end result and seems to really appreciate that I went the extra mile and had it made for her rather than going off the shelf, something I actually never considered.

Big thumbs up, we will certainly be going back to GMQ for our wedding rings.

My partner proposed and we began the search for our engagement ring,  I fell in love with a design at one of the major city retailers, however it was way over our budget. I decided to have a look around online and soon released that what I'd fallen for was so overpriced compared to similar rings elsewhere simply because of the brand. Things began looking up and I began to look for a jeweller to custom make it for me instead.

 

I googled "handmade engagement rings" & GMQ was one of the first results, and I can see why. 

We sat down with Greg and a picture of the ring I liked, he made a few suggestions on how to improve the design and we looked at a selection of centre diamonds of different qualities and price points.

 

Not only did I get the ring I wanted, I was able to go a bit bigger on the centre diamond as our budget allowed it. I can now totally see the benefit from talking to an experienced craftsman, I've now happily recommended Greg at GMQ several times to friends now knowing they'll be well looked after.
